Aaron Stewart

Aaron joins our team bringing with him a B.A. in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration from Flagler College in addition to four years of basketball coaching experience. He began coaching at Flagler College in 2005 where he quickly jumped from the role of a student coach to an assistant coach with the women’s basketball team. During those two years he worked diligently on every aspect of the program including recruiting, scouting, game preparation as well as assisting with scheduling and travel arrangements. In season 2007-08 Aaron worked as an assistant Varsity and head JV Coach at Flagler Palm Coast HS. In 2008 he took a full time internship at the University of North Florida (UNF) NCAA Div. 1 program as the Director of Basketball Operations for women’s basketball. During that time he learned from head coach Mary Tappmeyer and was actively involved in coaching and administrative efforts.  At UNF, Aaron’s primary duties included marketing and promotions where he was instrumental in doubling the season attendance from the year before.
 
With firsthand knowledge as a participant one of our tours, Aaron believes that international travel is quintessential to the development of young men and women entering the post education world. 
 
Whilst we would love to keep Aaron working with the Sports Travel Academy, we accept that his true passion is coaching and collegiate athletics, and 100% support his endeavors to seek a graduate assistant position within college athletics and women’s basketball.
