The Australian junior women’s basketball programs are excellent and scheduling quality teams is not a problem. Australian basketball is consistently ranked number 2 or sometimes 3 in the world with Teams USA & Russia making it an ideal location for a USA Development Squad to Tour. Australia is also a very safe destination with wonderful hospitality, and many high schools and clubs are very much interested in hosting American teams. The Sports Travel Academy team tours are designed to be more than just an athletic experience. Instead we are using basketball as a wonderful medium to achieve so much more as is highlighted in the above PDF document.

The tour includes 10 games, a great deal of sightseeing opportunities as well as a visit to an Australian high school, where students will be involved in attending classes and various other school activities. Players will also home stay with three selected Australian families for two nights each therefore providing an excellent balance between spending time with their USA teammates in hotels and immersing themselves into the Aussie culture.
The team will meet for a 2 day pre-departure camp in the Raleigh/Cary area immediately prior to flying out of RDU airport. This camp is designed to build a level of teamwork and preparedness. Throughout the tour the girls will attend a number of practices conducted by Coach Javaux and her staff as well as have the opportunity to learn from some of Australia’s elite coaches as they attend several skills development sessions conducted by Aussie Coaches who have had NCAA, professional and in some cases World Championship/Olympic Games experience with the Australian National Junior Development Program.

Parents & other team supporters are invited to attend!! See comprehensive details in the above PDF document.
